EPALE Flanders visited Iceland to learn more about the good practices on VPL in the country. Thanks to the efforts of the National Support Services of EPALE and Euroguidance in Iceland we had a more than filled and interesting programme for the 3 days of our study visit. A very special thanks to Margrét Sverrisdottir and Dora Stefansdottir and their colleagues to help us with every part of our journey.
Two members of the VISKA team Flanders were pleased to have been part of this very interesting study visit. We were also very pleased to meet our Icelandic partners of VISKA during this visit. It was lovely to get to know even more about how they work with regard to VPL. Helen and Rakel (IDAN) told us more about Iceland and its labour market and educational system, about IDAN itself and of course about how the center is involved in the validation of prior learning. At ETSC we had a meeting with Director Sveinn Adalsteinsson. He said “It doesn’t matter where you learn, or when or how, as long as you can show your skills !”. Something to always remember.
